Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt has become one of the most influential and well-known presidents to ever hold office. Coming to power after the assassination of William McKinley in 1901, Roosevelt embarked upon a crusade to transform the very foundations of American society by fighting against the massive corporate monopolies controlling American business and working to improve the lives and working conditions of ordinary Americans.
